Former Mayor Frank Caulfield (78 of the Philadelphia Caulfields) of Burlington Township NJ was struck down by a stroke Monday morning Nov 13 around 11am at his home in Barnegat Twp.,Ocean County. His wife Marilyn took him to Southern Ocean County Hospital just after identifying the symptoms while on the phone with their oldest son Mark who is living in Florida. Frank was diagnosed with the stroke and then transported to Robert Woods Johnson University Hospital http://www.rwjuh.edu/patient_guide/directions.html in New Brunswick to treat the cranial bleeding. Officer Daryl Caulfield, their son of Westampton Twp NJ Police Dept then drove Marilyn to the hospital where they have been keeping a solitary vigil with Frank ever since. Frank's current status as of 7PM Wednesday is that he is in a coma aided by a respirator and fighting pneumonia in ICU. He responds infrequently and the outcome does not look good for recovery though we are all optimistic and prayerful. Your support, cards, help, contact and prayers would be very welcome by Frank and Marilyn as well as sons Officer Daryl, Eric and Mark Caulfield who will be arriving shortly from Florida.

My name is Brian Caulfield. I bought this domain name many years ago, so I could grab it before some squatter began charging me to get mail at brian[at]caulfield.net. Now that I've got the email address I wanted, I've got this Web site too. I've always figured I'd try to make it a resource. A "blog" seems to be the right way to do that. If you'd like to contribute, send me a note.
