Update from beautiful Rockville, MD - location of such exotic delights at the Giant Supermarket, Sleep Inn and Crab Shack.
We arrived Saturday evening after a long jaunt across the country (cruising at about 30,000 feet in the air) and around Dulles Intl to the car rental lot (here's obligatory shot of modernist wonder, Dulles Intl main terminal).
Tom and Annie are doing well. We visited the National Zoo for some panda action on Sunday. They are very cute (Tian Tian, Mei Xiang and baby Tai Shan) and performed a number of tricks for us like munching bamboo and rolling in the grass. We thought it was great.
We took a twilight tour of the Capitol mall in our fine Hertz automobile, with built-in navi, and concluded with a nice dinner at Bonaparte Cafe in Georgetown...good pick Tom! We highly recommend it to any future Georgetown visitors.
We met Tom's east coast medical squad on Monday morning and are quite impressed. He's in great hands back here, and the NIH NCI facilities are very nice. If you're going to be in and around a hospital, this is the place to be.
We're heading back tomorrow and are very comfortable Tom and Annie are in good hands.
