Good news about Tom! Things are looking up for the Caulfields!
Edited to clarify! Tom and Annie are back east for a check-up. The docs are pleased with his progress and think they can get him into remission! They are coming home tonight (Fri).

okay, i can't spell. and i can't seem to edit. i think the family i married into are the Caulfields...with an L. ;)
yep, according to the call, the brain tumors are either gone, or shrunken to very very small size. This is an indication that the radiation worked well enough for the interferon to pick up and start making progress.
This is much better news than we were epecting and is a huge reliof.
There is a long road to go, and continued treatment for at least a year, but the news is very good.
