This is a weather report from the east coast. As you can see in the picture it is too cold to even go outside to take the picture. It hit a low of minus 10 degrees F. last night and when I sat down at the computer this morning it was zero F and blowing about 20 miles per hour. It has now rocketed up to a PLUS 4 degrees F. Wahoo!!!

Actually it isn't as bad as it sounds. We did a 15 kilometer cross country ski yesterday in similar temperatures, but with much less wind.

Anyway I just thought I would throw in a reality check to contrast the running shorts shown below.

Wow! I am not sure "weather" or not it did, but it was supposed to hit 70 degrees here this last weekend. It was at least mid 60s. Almost no snow or rain here this winter. I wish more people would start listening to Al Gore.

BRRRRRRRR! Sounds pretty cold back there. It was even pretty warm up in Carson City today! We're supposed to get some rain and snow this weekend. Judy

well, it looks beautiful...if a bit to cold to actually go out and enjoy.

PS - my mom said it hit 90 degrees in Long Beach on Feb 5! Unbelievable.

I did a 10K in redondo beach on sunday and I was boiling. (Redondo beach is near Long beach)It was probably mid-to-upper 80s! I'm glad you're enjoying your weather Tim! Make a snow angel for me.

Wasn't that a surprise this weekend on your 10K? To have such warm weather in Feb? I bet you were boiling. Probably felt like the middle of summer!

Tim - those snow angels are sounding pretty good. Make lots!

Al Gore? You're kidding, right???

what would i be kidding about? ever heard of global warming?

Interesting. If " global warming" caused this dry January , what caused the second dryest January over 120 years ago before the polution started?
I also wonder if " global warming" is the cause of near record cold temperatures where Uncle Tim lives.

I suspect you are being sarcastic, but seriously, yes, it does have something to do with Tim's weather. And it isn't worth taking lightly "weather" you like/respect Al Gore or not. Better pay attention now so this world is a safe and healthy environment for the littlest Caulfields to grow up in.

Thank, Ineeded that
