Here are a few pictures from the trip that I took to the Sacramento delta with my friend Steve. We had a great time including visits to Locke and Rio Vista. In Rio Vista we met Tom, Annie, Rich, Judy, John, Rosalie and Christine at the Point Restaurant for an early dinner, and to celebrate Annie's 39th birthday.
The trip up was a wonderful 13 hour downwind sail, as was zooming around the delta in Steve's Zodiac, but the trip back was a long slog to windward, mostly done in the pre-dawn hours due to the tides, and under power all the way until we hit SF bay. We did have nice stops in the Martinez (marina), China Camp, and Paradise cove (both anchorages) on the way back, so it wasn't all bad. Total time out 9 days. Great to do once, but I don't know that I would go to the delta again.

nice, tim! sounds like a great trip. i thought annie was only 29, though! no, i guess the math wouldn't come out quite right with that, would it?
