Go Amy. She's running the Carlsbad half marathon again tomorrow. We remember that last year she did it as a fundraiser, naming Tosh and Tom as honorees. This year she is a mentor for others doing the same.
Even though we're all focused on a 4 lb. cutiepie up here in Carson Cit y and Reno, we're also sending our love and support to Amy as she runs 13 miles tomorrow.
Speaking of cutiepies, she's got all the tubes, IV's etc out and is breast feeding some, and hopefully will be home with Maddie, mommy, and daddy on Tues or Wed.
Til then, the traveling Maddie'sbabysisterthatshecan'tseeshow continues with Mema, Katie , Jason, and occasionally Pop participating(and GrammyandLittlepop waiting in the wings)
Ain't Maddy cute?
You ain't seen nothin til you see Charlotte!
GO AMY!!!!!!

Go Amy, smiling all the way.

Uncle Tim and Aunt Linda

Amy, we're so proud of you. Run well for Tosh and Tim. We'll be thinking of you all today.
Kate, Jason, Mads, and Charlotte

Thanks guys! I did the race again today and enjoyed just as much as last year. I definitely had Tosh and Uncle Tom on my mind and in my prayers. Thanks for all the support! I'll post pics soon, I hope!

yay, amy!
what is the story behind charlotte's early birth?
she looks like jason.
yes, rich, she is a cutie.
but finnian is by far the cutest boy.

Oh, I guess we never put much explanation behind Charlotte's grand entrance. There's some question as to what event occurred first, but here's what we know. During my C-section, my Dr discovered a uterine rupture at the site of my previous C-section scar from Maddie. Apparently very rare to occur, but when they do, the outcome is not usually very good for either mom or baby. So, I either went into pre-term labor, then my uterus tore, or vice-versa. Either way, all the docs commented multiple times that Charlotte and I are VERY blessed to be alive today to tell you the story. We're still waiting for Charlotte to come home to us. Should be any day now. We are extremely anxious, as you all can imagine.
Oh, and sorry, I did mean Uncle Tom in my earlier comment. Good old Vicodin doing it's best to help with typos! I'm feeling pretty good now all told.
Katie

Alright Amy! Can't wait to see the pics - keep 'em coming. Way to go. It's been quite a January for all of us. Hope Charlotte is close to coming home - if not home already - then everything will be just perfect. Take care...

Now that I've got the email address I wanted, I've got this Web site too. I've always figured I'd try to make it a resource. A "blog" seems to be the right way to do that.
