Merry Christmas, everyone! Today we celebrated the Baptism of Allie Mae and Charlotte Mabel!
Dumb... but I couldn't resist
Annie's Pet Squirrel

Katie took a picture of the squirrel who comes to my Mom's office window to beg for food.
So, what shall we call him? Napoleon Peanut? Mr. Pecan? Victor the Varmint? Gozer the Gozerian?
Any other suggestions?
Mom?
Ordinarily I post only Caulfield related news here....
... but this must be shared.

Vermont Power Update: We did not lose power, but the power outages came to within about 6 miles of us. So we have been warm and snug. Now that we have a fully installed woodburning stove, power loss would be an inconvenience but not a big issue. We can even cook on our regular stovetop (but not the oven) when the power is out. Thanks for the thoughts from all of you. Have a very Merry Christmas!! Tim and Linda

Went to the vet yesterday - re-introducing "PRINCE Chunk," AKA Cocoa, AKA Chocolate, AKA His Royal Chunkiness.
Other than the gender change, Prince appears to be very healthy and around 5 years old. He had some shots, which he tolerated well, and got some Advantage and tartar-control cat food (which, fortunately, he loves).
He's weighing in at 15 lbs, which is actually down a bit from when he first came to live with Annie. He's supposed to lose a few more pounds, but it might be hard with xmas around the corner.
He's a very good cat and provides excellent company. He's not very vocal except when it's time to go to bed and wake up. He also gives Annie back massages at night with his paws. She reports her shoulder is feeling much better.
All in all, he's doing a much better job of keeping her on track than any of us kids. Thank you Prince Chunk.
PS - he says he wants to see pics of Roland, Turley and Sadie on caulfield.net. He's enjoyed the pics of Lily, Tazz and Clea and friends.

another one from T-giving (from my cell phone) - after dinner stories compliments of Nina and Papa. KDM

I caught this picture of Linda as she was bringing in the "greens" for decorating the inside of the house. The snow has come and gone a couple of times already this year, but we hope it is here to stay now. Getting the skis ready!!!!

my dad took this gorgeous photo of the older girl cousins. i don't know how he got them to all look at him and smile at the same time, but aren't they cute?!

Charlotte Roberts. Ain't she cute?
