The next day, Allie had us over for a tour of her new house! It was beautiful. Here's Allie's yard where she plays baseball with her dad.

Allie's fabulous horse! (Horsie used to belong to Allie's dad but recently had some work done compliments of Mema. Pink with white polka-dots suites horsie quite well.)

Allie's fabulous shoes!

How tall is Allie?

This tall!

How tall is Big Pop? That tall!

We finished our tour with a visit to the Prince...Prince Chunk that is (formally known as His Royal Majesty Cocoa Cat).

where does the carpet end and the cat begin?
Linda and I just got back from our annual fall canoe trip into the Adirondack lakes with her brother Phil and his wife Carol. We got lucky this year and had no rain, but did have the temperature dip down near
freezing one night. Fires were appreciated evening and morning. Too many good pictures to post them all. The Adirondacks are simply gorgeous, especially when the fall colors are turning and, at this time of year, when there are no bugs

Maddie and Charlotte are looking good. Their mom had her last on-call last night. She moves on to Carson City's voted best clinic this year next week.

My friend sailing Steve Brekke-Brownell came back to spend some time cruising lake Champlain, and Linda caught this picture of us from her kayak as we were converging on Kingsland Harbor anchorage. We had 5 great days of sailing and learning about various anchorages on the south end of the lake. Bon Temps is a sweet sailing boat and just loves the light winds that predominate on Lake Champlain. Hopefully next year we will get up into the islands at the north end of the lake.
Unlike the west coast, boats come out of the water here in October to spend the winter ashore, since the lake freezes. But that's OK, then it's time to ski
