Thought I would post a little better picture of Tom and Annie and Tim and Linda in Vermont. This was taken from our deck on an overcast morning, just before they left Randolph. The were able to catch the train right form the center of Randolph and like magic (8 hours later) they arrive in NYC. It was sort of fun, as it was the first time we had ever either put someone on the train out or picked them up from it. Now all the rest of you have to come.

Tom and Annie visited Tim and Linda at their new home in Randolph, Vermont, on their way from Montreal to New York City. We all had a wonderful time touring the green mountain state and experiencing small town life. Most of the pictures are still on the various cameras, but we got a photo of them as we put them aboard the train for NYC, so I thought I would share it with you in real time. It isn't the greatest photo because it was taken with a telephone (what is this world coming to, eh). We had a real mixture of weather and great food while they were here. Unfortunately nature didn't cooperate and the leaf season was late this year, so they only got a small flash her and there of what it is like in full color. Now on to NYC.

Happy Birthday Isabella! And here's a shot of the birthday girl and boy (Sept 12 and 11 respectively). Brien celebrated with Isabella and all her friends on Sunday. He was the biggest kid in the play group.

Please post pics of Andy and Colleen's new place when they're settled. The Marina is sure a beautiful part of SF. They'll love it. And when they're ready for company, we'll be happy to drive on up.

Getting cold here too - definitely feels like fall. Having morning and evening fog but mid-day still nice.

Annie and Tom have started a venison curing operation in their backyard shed. They are covered for a variety of natural disasters now. Even if they're knocked off the power grid, they'll still be set.

Hi Caulfields,
Andy and Colleen moved into a really neat place in the Marina district on Sat. You all have to check it out.
Amy loves her new school. She teaches 14 second graders at a Catholic school in LA. It sounds like heaven after the last 3 yrs. She has great support from the principle, parents, etc. BIG difference.
Kate's pregnancy is going well. We expect baby Madeline, or Whoever in late Nov.
Life is good for us. We are blessed

What Do They Put in the Caulfield Cup?
Beer, of course! But more on that later. Apparently it's only 44 days until the Caulfield Cup, a big horse race in Australia held every year at the Melbourne Racing Club. Seems to be kind of like the Kentucky Derby, except with fewer Kentuckians and more beer. The race is sponsored by Carlton, hence the beer (okay, they probably don't fill the cup with beer, but if I were in charge they would). It takes place at this race track. Very swank. If any Australians want to fill us in on this, feel free to post to the site.

My name is Brian Caulfield. I bought this domain name many years ago, so I could grab it before some squatter began charging me to get mail at brian[at]caulfield.net. Now that I've got the email address I wanted, I've got this Web site too. I've always figured I'd try to make it a resource. A "blog" seems to be the right way to do that. If you'd like to contribute, send me a note.
