A little bit of a flash back here. This is the four brothers (Tom and John in the back row, and Rich and Tim in the front row, left to right) in about 1955, probably in the sping, on the occasion of my first communion (thus the ribbon). We are standing in the front yard of the house on Hendly Street in Santa Rosa. We rented that house for about 9 months, as I recall, while our house on Steel Lane was being built.

The car in the background is our 1948 Plymouth. It was beige in color. Tom rolled it on some years later on is way back from a Block S dinner. Dad, Tom and John did the repair on the roof, applying Bondo, which cracked several months after the repair was completed and painted. Because of the colors and the cracks, the others in Tom's group referred to it as the the Adobe Wagon.

I thought of this picture when I saw the one of Brian below, and even though he is older than Tom was at the time, it reminded me of how he looked then.

How many people does it take to bathe a baby in the kitchen sink?
Hint: The baby doesn't care as long as greatgrandma is there to hold her afterward.

My name is Brian Caulfield. I bought this domain name many years ago, so I could grab it before some squatter began charging me to get mail at brian[at]caulfield.net. Now that I've got the email address I wanted, I've got this Web site too. I've always figured I'd try to make it a resource. A "blog" seems to be the right way to do that. If you'd like to contribute, send me a note.
