as long as belly shots are getting posted....

Ain't they cute?

Here is a poignant picture of the "four boys" (note picture) taken at the Friday night gathering. One of the uncanny things is the fall of my hair and the fall of Tom's hair. You would think we were from the same family. It really isn't a great picture of any of us (except Tom), but I thought the composition was nice.

I had a blast last weekend at the Nike Women's Half Marathon in SF!

still managing a few smiles. (yes, that really is annie and mike!)

Hi Caulfields - it's come to our attention that we lost another member of the family last week. Kody raced on ahead to clear the way for Tom. He was a magnificent boy and we'll miss him too. Now we'll think of Tom, surrounded by Kody and several BooBoos, Spot, Frightful, KittyKat and other members of the animal kingdom...as well as his parents and grandparents, mother-in-law and of course...having his day of reckoning with his father-in-law, Karl Heinz. We know they'll take it easy on him though. Kody will make sure of it.
Enjoy all those soccer balls in the sky, Kody!
Brien & Katie

These are some cropped images from pictures of a gathering we had in June of this year in Rio Vista. I like them because they speak to Tom's enduring desire to enjoy life. I will miss him as a life long example of how to follow your passion.

My name is Brian Caulfield. I bought this domain name many years ago, so I could grab it before some squatter began charging me to get mail at brian[at]caulfield.net. Now that I've got the email address I wanted, I've got this Web site too. I've always figured I'd try to make it a resource. A "blog" seems to be the right way to do that.
