looks like mike (and tom), doesn't he?

Ain't Charlotte cute?

Maddie loves the snow. Ruby too.

Charlette Mabel Roberts looking good, and being good, at about 6 weeks. She is a godsend. After her rather spectacular debut, she has been sleeping. She is so mellow it's scary. She sleeps, grunts, squeeks, moans, toots, and every other sound, but rarely wails. What a sweetheart.
In the meantime, Maddie is talking up a storm, entertaining us all.
It's been nearly a month since big pop has been here with camera. Making up for lost time. Watch out! Big Pop

I really enjoyed my visit with my little snow bunnies!!

Got Snow?
I know, nothing like the 180 inches you Californians have in the Sierras, but this is our front yard.
Best Field Trip Ever

I tried to go to Yahoo. Instead,
I wound up at the dump. SUNNYVALE, Calif. -What's the conventional wisdom on Yahoo!'s prospects in Silicon Valley right now? Here's a hint. Go to Google Maps and search for Yahoo! Follow the directions and you'll find yourself at the City of Sunnyvale, Calif.'s "Waste Disposal Buy-Back Recycling Center." Welcome to the dump.

We're not as cute as the kids, but here are some shots from our German-style weekend celebration at
SuppenKüche Prost, Grandpa Heinz! (Annie's dad - but he would have felt very at home with the Caulfields too)
Check out those cool Germanic tree stencils and ceiling decor. (Not to mention the hipsters at the other tables - boy did we feel cool for an evening.)

Hold still you two!

Our nordic comrades lend support (a Finn - not the Finn - and a Norwegio-Italian)

birthday food of choice, the humble cupcake. (sprinkles red velvet - two thumbs up, or bites down)

As you can see, Charlotte is doing well.
Go charlotte!
Pop

These are a couple of weeks old, but precious. Maddie helped with Charlotte's first bath, which was not well received by Charlotte. She was bathed on Madie's changing table in a little pink tub the hospital sent home with Charlotte. For her next bath, Maddie insisted that she would bathe in the same pink tub.
Ain't they cute?

Now here are some real snow angels

Finn on the party circuit. This weekend: a b-day celebration for his mom and auntie.
Here he is making the rounds and exerting his nascent Caulfield charm on all the pretty ladies.
At bottom, big sis sips a refreshing beverage with Uncle Stian while Nonno flashes his newly acquired "g-power" sticker for Grannie Annie and Uncle Brien attempts a covert head scratching in the kitchen.

Visiting "cousin" Clea - isn't she magnificent? - K & B
Well, I don't really know why I am here. Katie Moore "invited" me to go to the blog, so like a good citizen I went. We are in the middle of a snow and sleet storm back here at the moment, so maybe it is good to let you know that the power is still on, at least for the moment.
Best wishes to everyone, including the new arrivals.
